Anna Rachel Cook

We exchanged my daughter’s learning environment from high school to home-based at the end of Year 8. She is now approaching her ‘Year 11’ GCSEs, and I have no doubts that it was the right decision to leave institutionalised education behind.

This isn’t a decision that  any parent takes lightly and, as the person who took most practical responsibility for her learning, I can now reflect that the most stressful part of our journey was the energy spent finding the right tutors and in arranging exams.

Thankfully, when we found Anna, I could let go of some of that stress. In addition to being a fun, engaging, skilful, versatile and responsive tutor, she has helped us to navigate the exam system which, unfortunately, is not set up for those of us outside of the mainstream.

To my surprise, lessons by Skype have been seamless and incredibly productive. My daughter’s confidence in English Language and Literature has soared, and she looks forward to her lessons.
Would I recommend Anna? Without question. It’s a brave move to approach learning in a different way, but with Anna we are in very safe, very credible, and very skilful hands.
